Community Involvement
Community Involvement and Participation is central to the social inclusion and long term integration of African refugees and asylum seekers. It encourages a form of partnership and social ownership with service users and community at large as well creating social enterprise by bringing people and community together for a common social gain and benefit.
CAS in its service provision strives to meet this social gain through a number of approaches; volunteering; active involvement of service users in planning and implementation of projects; formation of/and participation in sub-committee meetings, election of board members who are members of the community and also services users, assisting individuals with personal development projects and activities.
